Small Fundraising Group

We have  a small group of volunteers who help with small scale and regular activities aimed at raising money and having  a good time. Activities include 3 charity concerts a year, a Fashion Show, a Summer Hog Roast, A Greek Meal at a local restaurant, producing Christmas Cards for sale  and various other events which the group think of and want to support. We are always looking for helpers to organise events. We meet 4 times a year to make plans. Please contact Gareth Hankinson –   gareth@asylumlink.org.uk  – if you wish to help.

Here are some recent examples of fundraising.

A Sponsored Run. A volunteer did a sponsored run for ALM in the recent BTR Liverpool Tunnel 10K. His  time was 53 minutes 15 seconds, his position was 911 out of 3000+ runners. The total  sponsorship raised was £336.25 (including £245 online, £35 offline, and £56.25 gift aid). Well done to Paul

A Barn Dance. A local church iorganised a barn dance at their parish center. Over £540 was raised for Asylum Link – and a good time was had by everybody.

A Big Sale.  Second hand items – nearly new and “jumble” clothes, bedding, kitchen equipment ….and more. Refreshments, tombola, raffle, etc. One was held at the the Lark Lane Community Centre, Lark Lane, Liverpool but many more throughout the area at schools, churches, and other venues..
